Manhattanhenge, Pt 2

Twice a year, the sun will appear to set right in the middle of the street, making for some great photos.

Crown Heights, Brooklyn

A friend and I took a tour around the predominantly Hasidic community in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.  These pictures don't even begin to display the reverence of these people. Had a great walk, a great lunch, and a great time seeing the community up close. Thanks to Rabbi Beryl Epstein for his hospitality!

These are tefillin, waiting to be repaired.

These pictures were taken at the corner of 42nd and Second Avenue.  New Year's Eve-level crowds!

Birds in a Blizzard

Midmorning at the Met lent some great shadowing and nuance to the Metropolitan Museum's Greek and Roman Galleries.

Chinatown walk...

I took a walk around Chinatown on a busy Saturday morning. It's a vibrant place, and in some parts, you'd never know you were in New York City. A quick day-trip to Hong Kong, perhaps?
